Final


   Here is the ways that my view point of social media has changed since taking this class. First off I see the different ways in which company try to use social media to reach us. I see social media as a tool to attract and inform people about a company or product. I learned about all the different kinds of social medias and what specific tools they bring to the table. I look at social media as a great way to promote business deals and reach wide audiences. Being able to stay connect to your consumers and supports is what makes social media so powerful.
   There are some techniques that I learned that could help me better my business on social media. For instance being able to post close to daily can help keep your audience. Also replying to as many people in the comments can help show that you care. Keeping track off related businesses on their social medias to know whats working for them and not working. Building your business takes time especially on social media, just keep making those steps to being your best is what I learned.
   Through this class we looked at many social media account and analyzed several business. There was really no business that stuck with me but I did remember the research I did on Nike's social media platforms. They did such a great example of showing more about their company then just the products. What really drives Nike is the meaning behind the brand and its values. I think that is really important in your own business having values and basing your company around that. And you will tend to find people backing your company even more because chances are people feel the same way.
   This class was really showed what it takes to make a great social media business. From making the Facebook business, to analyzing other business this class really made sure that you know what it takes. It can be time consuming and have to be able to stay relevant with your social media. But there is a high pay off whether it be reaching new target markets or connecting with new businesses. Also using tools to help manage your social medias whether that be using a data base to collect data.
   Social media in the future is going to be the biggest way people connect with business. Having the knowledge to make great things happen with your social media can be very helpful. There is so much potential for all platforms on social media for business. This class has helped me see the unique benefit of the these platforms and me consider the weaknesses and strengths of each. Keeping all these helpful ideas in mind in the future will help me better my business and hopefully generate more revenue.

   Google Analytics has many useful tool for business. It can help collect data and help manage your business which is very important for keeping a successful business. The kind of data it can help organize for you is your audience demographics. This can help with your marketing campaigns and help you make better decisions with your business. Google Analytics is also capable of real time reporting which can be useful. It can also help you filter through data quickly with data that has been collected it can be then processed quickly finding what you need quickly.

   The only thing that would be able to help my business using research groups like Linked in and Google+ would be to find similar business and see how they run their business. What I find to be a helpful tool is to look at your competition and to see what works and doesn't work for them and this information can help your business. These are also great ways to keep up with the latest information relating to your business. Being relevant is key when everything is changing so fast. This can help you acquire the tools to make your business as updated as possible.

   Here are four more ideas for marketing tools you can use to help grow your business. First off you can use google analytics to help keep track of the traffic to your website. Finding this information can help you sustain the traffic you have, or find new ways to build more traffic. Next you can make your own website and sell your product on that website and give information about your business. Also you can use tools like Google trends, this tool can be used to see what people search for on Google and try to build your website around that. Finally there are multiple websites and services that help you organize data that you will collect through out doing business to stay organized. For example Microsoft excel can help make charts so you can organize numbers and data.

   Putting together an email newsletter could be very helpful to inform and keep consumers updated. It is a great way to promote your business even further. If I had to consider sending out newsletters I would set it up so it would be monthly. What content I would put in them would be special deals and promotions. I have signed up for some email newsletters from other business like Nike and they send emails often. They promote new products and let you know when there is a special sale or holiday special.

  When writing about certain topics that interest you and your own experiences with it. You will find yourself having people be attracted to your writing for certain reasons. People want to find things they can relate to whether it being a good or bad experience. These experiences can make people feel different emotions whether it be sympathy for you or happy. Adding personal touch to a blog lets others see how you think and what view points your coming from. When writing to a certain group of people that you have no experience with or a topic you know little about that is when you should know NOT to add personal touch.

    When I searched on my twitter to find the kind of people I should follow this is what I searched. I looked up social media consultant to find other people who would do work similar to mine. And I would examine their accounts to see to the rights and wrongs of what they are doing. Twitter is great for allowing people to post often which is great for this kind of business. And when it comes to posting its better to post early morning or later in the day because most of my audience would be working or school in the middle of the day, and they can check their social media before or after school.

   My business of being a social media consultant does not primary rely on visual support. There are many other businesses similar to mine where it would need to have visuals. When researching other social media companies and their use of visuals this is what I found. I used Instagram to find other social media agencies and they have a lot of followers and with hardly any likes. They also receive hardly any comments and its consistent through out each post.
   The reason that these types of social medias are not effective for some businesses are because there is no need. If you are not selling a physical product but are selling a service it can be hard to come up with post ideas. This can lead to very little amount of quality posts that lead to little followings. What those companies can do is only post when there is something quality to post and try to keep quality over quantity.

   So when it comes to the visual networks my business does not necessarily rely on them. The reason for this is because my business which is being a social media consultant, and there is no need to post pictures or videos. Since i'm not selling a product there is nothing to sell except the business itself. These forms of social media can be very time consuming and take lots of effort. So if I had to choose the type of visual network for my business it would be Instagram.
   The things that I would post on my visual network would be promotional things. And I would post pictures of various social media platforms that we can help you in. This would inform people and reach out to people who use this platform for social media. It would reach a larger audience of people who need help on growing their social media following. This will also lets people interact with our business and write feedback.

   My activity ahead will be staying active and liking other peoples post and commenting. The reason for staying active will let people know that you care about other people. And what my future posts will look like is showing activity happening with the business. To connect with people I will need to stay active on their posts.

I liked several social media consulting pages on Facebook. The reason for this is to connect with similar business and get useful ideas from them to see what is working.For Instance if they are getting more business than my page I can find out why.

   The difference between post reach and post engagement is that post reach measures the amount of traffic you are getting to your posts. Post engagement measures all post clicks,likes,shares, and comments. Knowing the difference is important because it can help you see the specific areas you need to grow in to gain more publicity to your site. To gain more traffic to your Facebook page you can add more of what you lack, and get useful feedback from people who visit your website whether it be positive or negative. Facebook insights help you see who visits your page like certain demographics, and can help you track the overall performance.

   My target market for being a social media consultant would be the sandwich generation. This accounts for men and women around the ages of 30-50. The reason for this is because the lack of knowledge and guidance for using social media especially for business. This group of people can be any kind of ethnicity or education trying to build a following on social media mainly for business.

   Comparing the first two websites about diapers there wasn't to much different except a couple things. The first is noticeable thing was how the diaper company Econobum try to appeal to the customer through Ethical practices. They talked about all the things that they used to ensure their product was environmentally friendly. While the other product just cheap diapers try to appeal to moms through reaching a common ground. They talked about there struggle with diapers and the experience they had as a mom. But both websites seemed to have low prices with great quality.
   When looking at both of these restaurants it became clear the difference. When delivering food Teri cafe has more of a family appeal and offers a home meal kinda feel. Compared to Chili's which offers casual dining style. The kind of food the each offer is different Teri's offers Japanese dishes. While Chili's has a Tex-Mex-style of cuisine. Chili's mission is to offer fresh food and make people feel special. Teri's cafe wants to offer you a quick service at a reasonable price. Both of these restaurants offer quality food it just depends on how much time you have and the amount of money you want to spend.

   The first website that I visit a lot has to be Nike's Website (www. Nike.com). The website does a great job of displaying the product and always lets you know when there are sales. They include a great color scheme and moving pictures.

   My next website that I visit would be Amazon (www. Amazon.com). The reason for this is because of the amount of choice they have to offer. They display products that are related to things you would like. And the layout of the website is very clean and orderly.

                                         Week 4: Post 1

   When looking at the website for Penny Juice the first thing I noticed was how overwhelming it is. Their was an overload of colors and not pictures of the product itself. Also to access somethings on their website you had to download a flash player which can be a hassle. Another website that had many problems was Jami Lin's. It was hard to even tell what was going on the website there was so many adds and the text was scattered. Everything on the website was hard to read and in small print.
   Somethings that could change those websites is choosing a theme. Try to stick to one color or two instead of putting a bunch of distracting colors. Making the website easy to read and understand is always a plus. Even having pictures of your product so people know what you are selling. And making information easy to access and find on the home page.
   When examining Gates N fences website I noticed how they used pictures to show what they offer. There are many side tabs that help you navigate what kind of work you are looking to get done. And the color theme is simple and works well with the page. Another great website example is Apple. The simple white theme and big pictures of their latest products with captions showing all the features is really eye appealing. Overall their website is really well made.
    Websites really can attract or turn away a customer based on how well made it is. Having a website that is to confusing or does not display what you are trying to sell can make people click out. People like things that are eye appealing. Having a good brand logo also can help out your website appeal.

   After analyzing these businesses and their social medias I learned somethings. The thing that first stood out to me was how much content they were posting. Its hard to keep your followers updated if you post only so often. Companies like Nike were posting close to everyday. Nike also uses big name celebrities like Kevin Heart to promote their products. Another thing I noticed was the kinds of social medias these companies used. All five of the social medias used Facebook which is understandable because of the massive use of this Social media.
   When looking through Adidas and Nike's social medias I noticed how they have videos to display the product in action. They also try to let people know about future events and promotion deals. This helps the consumer know when it is a good time to start buying these products. They also let the general public know about all the good service acts they do on their social medias. Its a great way to let people know the things they are doing to help the communities.

             


                                                        Week 3 Blog Post Part 1

   My experience communicating with businesses has been very positive so far. Every time I have had an issue and emailed a businesses they handle the situation precisely. It has never been a difficult task either, every time they have responded within one days time. Even though I've had good experiences I know for a fact that other people that is not the case. Social media has changed the game for communicating with businesses. It is so easy to leave a comment on a post and be able to get a response depending on what you say. If wanting to get a simple answers there is people who write reviews for products and things that you can find on the businesses page.
   The way I've had positive experience communicating with businesses is try to be respectful. If you approach them with a problem or giving feedback don't be rude. They will be more willing to respond or help you if you don't personally go after them. If I had a business that sold a product and I had a social media for that business. I would try to help people who Have an issue with the product or try to learn from those with constructive feedback. If someone just says your product sucks and doesn't give a reason their is no way to learn from that. I would respond to positive comment with a positive response. The negative comments I would try to see their perspective and try to reach a solution whether that be sending them a new product or giving them a refund.

                                                  My Social Media Experience Week #2



   Social media can reach out to so many people, but yet be so personal. The most personal social media platform in my opinion is twitter. The reason for this is because its used to showcase your thoughts and communicate your feelings through out the day. Most people post daily unlike other social media, to let people what goings on. The best social media for business in my opinion is Instagram. Posting pictures of products and adding captions really helps give a visual of what your business is all about. Instagram can capture peoples attention with its short captions and direct approach.
  
   The one social media that can break the barrier of personal use and business would be Facebook. Since Facebook is the most used social media it can have the biggest outreach. Even thou it is used to post pictures and post on your timeline. Many business have their own Facebook and use this platform to reach audiences. There are many tools to use for business for instance you can create your own adds. You can promote events and let wide audiences know about your business.

   I personally have the most experience using social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat. These are the most fun to use and can stay current with your friends. You can communicate through chats and direct messages. These apps are always changing with new features and updates. They are very simple to use and have many people using these platforms. Another way I spend my time is on Youtube there is hours of content to be consumed and you can find videos that interest you. Me personally I love to watch skating and surfing videos that how I spend my free time. There are many people who you can subscribe to that put out videos daily. For me social media is just another way to stay connected with others while letting people know what happening in your life.

                                                               Week 1: My Template

   The reason I chose this template for my blog is because the theme is called simple. I try to make things simple as can be. The reason for this is things can get confusing with to many distractions. I prefer a solid color choice to keep things consistent. Bright colors can catch your eyes better than darker colors. 
   When trying to find information it should be easily obtained. This template offers a neat layout for headings, and captions allowing an easy access to information. Also there is room to put different types of links to social medias on the top of this template. There is room on the page to add everything needed for a informational blog. Giving the user many tools to make the best blog possible.
